【★☆★ A Note to Our Readers ★☆★】 In the afterword,
there is a very important announcement.
I’d really appreciate it if you read through to the end.
To participate in an open campus event at Hokkaido University, I was in Hokkaido with my older sister’s daughter, Nanae.
After taking photos at the Sapporo Clock Tower, we moved on to our next destination.
“…Ah, this is it. Odori Park!” “Wow… so this is…”
It looked just like how I’d seen it in photos and on TV. Majestic, or maybe I should say spacious. “…It’s incredibly long from end to end.”
“Yeah. You don’t see sights like that in Tokyo.”
Even though it was called a park, it didn’t have the usual playground equipment or anything.
Just street trees lining up in rows, benches placed here and there, and occasionally some guys doing skateboards.
We walked slowly through the park.
There wasn’t really anything particularly new or noteworthy. We were just walking. That was all.
But it doesn’t feel boring. Because.
”…I kind of want to come here if I ever have kids.”
Nanako murmured to herself, lost in thought.
“Yeah, that sounds good. Sapporo seems like a nice place to live too.”
“Eh!? D-did you hear me?!”
“Yeah. Nanako, most of the time I can’t tell if you’re just talking to yourself or actually trying to talk to me.”
”…Ugh, that’s embarrassing…”
Every now and then, Nanako shows off her natural charm like this.
Seeing the usually quiet girl’s expressions shift so easily is fun… it keeps things from getting boring when I’m with her.
It’s on a completely different vector from her younger sister Akari, but she’s definitely one of those people you just want to keep around forever.
