《Misae’s Perspective》
…Oka Misae. Now divorced, she is known as Nagano Misae.
Following the lead from Kiso Kawahara, she had been stalking him in Oka.
“They say that asshole has several women around him these days. Plus, it looks like he’s got some thick connections. Heh… If I can get solid proof, I’ll be in for a windfall!”
…Misae couldn’t believe it.
That her ex-husband, whom she always considered dull and unremarkable, had multiple women?
”…That must be a mistake.”
“Whether it’s true or not is easy enough to find out, isn’t it? Besides, don’t you feel any anger? He stole everything from you. Don’t you want revenge?” …Are you saying I don’t want revenge? Of course I do. That guy… Oka…
“You’re right. If I’ve had to suffer this much, it’s all that man’s fault…”
…After everything she had endured, she decided to pin the entire cause of her misery on Oka.
There was no one around to scold her for such foolishness or guide her in the right direction.
And so, Misae agreed to cooperate with Kiso Kawahara.
Indeed, upon investigation, it turned out that Okaya lived in a high-end apartment building and was sharing the place with several beautiful young women.
”…That man! He has the nerve to scream and yell about my ‘affair’ or whatever, when he’s stringing along multiple women himself!”
…Admittedly, Misae back then and Okaya now were by no means in the same position.
Misae was committing adultery despite being legitimately married to Okaya.
On the other hand, Okaya wasn’t married to anyone, let alone officially dating them (she was just his provisional girlfriend).
Therefore, Misae was the one doing the socially wrong thing (setting aside the fact that Okaya’s behavior was ethically questionable).
“I’m going to drag Okaya down to hell!”
…Together with Juuzou Kane, Misae secretly filmed every aspect of their private lives.
She gathered evidence for a scandal and submitted it to the appropriate authorities.
Lately, there has been a trend of exposés on social media.
These are times when individuals can broadcast information directly.
If she leaked the info there, Okaya’s social standing would plummet to the ground!
“Serve you right, Okaya! …This is your comeuppance for leaving me behind!”
…As repetitive as it may be, the root cause of all this lies with Misae herself.
And so, having become a pawn in Kiso River’s hands, Misae has been stalking Okaya… leading right up to this very moment.
…Though she is too foolish to realize that her actions are stepping on a tiger’s tail and pulling the dragon’s whiskers.
Had she done even a shred of research, she would have known who stood behind Okaya.
Behind him stands a presence so immense that tigers and dragons would look like cute pets by comparison… A monster of sorts.
…But realizing it now, at this very second, is far too late.
