Unmanned Island Life: Day Six.
I woke up to see the faint light of dawn filtering in through the glass window.
Beside me, sleeping peacefully, was Fukuboku, the black-haired class president.
She must have let her ponytail down before bed, as her glossy black hair spread out across the futon.
Her full breasts rose and fell with a soft poyo-poyo rhythm matching her breaths, sending a rush of excitement through my chest.
The scent of soap, or perhaps some kind of herb, drifted from her, filling the room to the point where I could almost taste it in the air.
“Mmm…”
“Good morning, Fukuboku.”
At first, she rubbed her eyes with a dazed expression, but she quickly grasped the situation and her face flushed red.
“G-Good morning, Sousuke-kun. I-I forgot. We did sleep together last night, didn’t we?”
Apparently, the night watch rotation changed every other day, which meant Fukuboku was scheduled to sleep with me last night.
Of course, “sleeping with” didn’t mean just cuddling—we’d done that too.
Shinpo was coy, yet he responded with enthusiastic fervor. Their intimacy was profoundly lewd—no, not that.
Just recalling it sent a powerful surge through his groin, so he desperately clamped down on the sensation.
“Ha ha, that dream sure lasted quite a while today.”
“You could say that again.”
First, three hours in the Bonus Area.
Once that was over, it was back to the usual white dream.
The day-five binary choice was ‘Fruit/Vegetables.’
Prioritizing sugar over nutritional balance, the vote favored ‘Fruit.’
This meant an increase in the variety of fruits available on the island.
From today onward, he suspected they might find common fruits on the island—ones typically seen in supermarkets. “Ah, um…
Sou-suke-san?”
“Hm?”
Shinpo lowered her eyes, fidgeting nervously as she spoke.
“If it’s not too much trouble… um… that you did the same with other girls… I mean…”
Sensing something, I felt a flush of embarrassment but still covered Fukubou in my embrace and shared a kiss.
”…I only realized after we’d already done it, but maybe that wasn’t what this was about?”
“N-no, you’re right on the mark. Hehe… thank you.”
My heart skipped a beat at Fukubou’s pleased expression.
“No, I should be the one thanking you…”
I then sat up and looked down at the floor, where I spotted something.
It was the solar panel Fukubou had ‘Selected’ and the cord reel I had ‘Selected’.
“Oh…! It seems like you really were able to bring back what you selected, Fukubou.”
Fukubou also sat up and looked at the floor.
”…Even knowing that was the rule, experiencing it for real is still a shock.”
“Yeah, it is.”
I had grown accustomed to the “anything goes” vibe of the mysterious blackboard, but I was still surprised by the shopping mall that reminded me so much of Japan.
“Shall we get started with setting it up right away?”
“I guess so. …Ah, but if efficiency is the goal, this spot might not be the best.”
“You’re right; it’s in the shade under the cliff.”
“Now that our combat strength has grown, maybe it’s time we moved.”
After all, I had chosen this spot beneath the cliff back when it was just the two of us: Chiyu and me.
With Mairo and Micro’s phantom beast duo, Shinfu’s magic, and the abundant resources stored in my [Inventory], dealing with a stray or two infiltrators wouldn’t be difficult at all.
It might even be better to relocate to somewhere with plenty of sunlight.
“I see, that does sound like a good idea.”
“Let’s discuss it with everyone during breakfast.”
For now, I stored away the stuff scattered on the floor.
There, Fukami spoke up as if remembering something.
“I think you should visit Shion’s room too,” she said. “Sousuke-san.”
“Right. It’s a refrigerator kind of thing. Yeah, let’s do that.”
Since Chiyu and Moe are hair dryers, they can likely be carried around without issue.
As I got up from the bed, Fukami seemed to be fidgeting restlessly.
I sensed something again.
“Ah… it’s right nearby, but should we hold hands on the way?”
”…! Um, yes. Please do.”
I extended my hand, and Fukami took it gently.
The two of us stepped out into the hallway and headed toward Shion’s room.
“Shion, good morning.”
As I greeted her while knocking, the door opened immediately.
At that moment, Fukami released her grip and stepped back.
“Good morning, Sōsuke-kun. And good morning to you too, Miss Fukami.”
“A refrigerator… we do have one. Let’s pack it up and move it.”
“Hee hee, thank you. I was quite surprised to find it right in front of me when I woke up.”
After stowing the refrigerator away and heading back out into the hallway, Senju and Meshi were coming out as well.
She was clutching a hair dryer under her arm.
“Good morning, both of you. Speaking of which, our merchandise doesn’t come with packaging, does it?”
“Mm. But the manuals are included.”
“I mean, sure, there are people who buy stuff and tell us ‘we don’t need the box,’ but why not give that option to us too?”
“Maybe cardboard boxes don’t count as ‘merchandise’ because they can become valuable resources on this island.”
Shion responded to such a profound analysis with an “Oh, yeah,” before continuing.
“After all, on this island, carrying things is basically done by hand. Those cardboard boxes that came along for the ride might be valuable items too.”
The fact that mundane everyday items become treasures on this desert island was something I had deeply felt even during the initial stages of the transfer.
My innerwear, for instance, served brilliantly as a towel to wipe my body.
It feels quite nostalgic now, but it is still only the morning of the sixth day.
“How about we make breakfast first?”
At Shion’s suggestion, everyone nodded in agreement.
Everyone slowly headed downstairs.
“Sou-kun, let’s go look for rubber trees today.”
Chiyu said with eyes shining, aiming to harvest latex and manufacture condoms.
“T-that sounds good too, but aren’t you also looking forward to the fruits added today?”
Meiko tried to change the subject, her face burning red.
“Ah, uh, yeah. Before that, though, there are a few things I’d like to get taken care of.”
“Apparently, to make sure the solar panels generate power efficiently, we should consider moving to somewhere with better sunlight.”
“A move, huh? I think that’s a good idea. This place is lovely too, but it is a bit dark, you know.”
We headed to the bathroom on the first floor together.
A barrel filled with water and buckets were set out there.
Each of us scooped up some water and washed our faces.
After Senru finished washing her face quickly, she went to collect the eggs and feed the chickens.
Towels were kept in the changing room, and I regularly swapped out the used ones to keep them clean.
After that, Shion and Senru, carrying the eggs, went to the kitchen.
The rest of us made our way to the dining table in the living room.
The kitchen is positioned so that the living room is visible, allowing conversation to flow easily.
“Hmm. With this lineup, any of us can claim a spot without issue.”
“I want somewhere with a view of the sea~”
“Why not explore the cliffs and see if there’s a good spot? If so, we can set up there. I think we could find a place with plenty of sunlight and a clear view.”
“Alright. So once we’re done with breakfast, we’ll start the move. After that, split into two groups for exploration and equipment setup. We’ll have lunch together, then discuss our plans for the afternoon at that time.”
Everyone seemed fine with that, so it was settled.
From there, the conversation turned to yesterday’s bonus area, with everyone excitedly debating what they wanted next.
For breakfast, pancakes were served, largely due to Shozo’s strong request.
They were accompanied by Shiyou’s crispy “sort-of” bacon and Chiya’s scrambled eggs.
The drink was sheep’s milk.
The pancakes, generously topped with butter and maple syrup, were delicious, and everyone ate with happy expressions on their faces.
Judging by this scene alone, you’d never guess these were high schoolers stranded on a desert island.
Until the day we can all go back to Japan—keeping our powers and memories intact.
We’re gonna survive out here on this desert island.
Using my “crafting ability” and the cooperation of my friends, we’ll gradually make our daily lives more comfortable.
And with that… Part Two is officially underway!!!
I probably can’t sustain updating two chapters every day, but
I’d like to keep up a daily update schedule for a while, so
I’d really appreciate your support as we move forward!!!!!!
