I was dreaming.
It was a dream about my return to Japan.
After getting back from the desert island, I was officially dating Chiyu.
I was also officially dating Shion, Meko, Fukumi, Loa, and Yuri.
Not only that, but every single girl I’d gotten close to on that island was my girlfriend.
Despite the absurdity of the situation, no one thought anything of it—it was a strange dream indeed.
”…Well, it’s just a dream.”
When I opened my eyes, the bed’s canopy came into view.
I must have fallen asleep.
It was still bright outside the window. I hadn’t been sleeping for that long.
As I sat up, I muttered to myself.
”…But what will actually happen?”
My feelings for all of them are genuine.
Even if I went back to Japan, choosing just one and breaking up with the others would seem far more ungrateful.
Before my transfer, I didn’t even have the courage to confess to my childhood friend of many years, yet now, worrying about the fate of my harem… it feels like I’ve come a long way.
At the very least, it’s a side of me that would have been unimaginable before the transfer.
“I hope we find a solution before we have to return to Japan.”
Saying you don’t mind people staring is easy enough, but in reality, it’s not just me who gets exposed to those strange gazes; they do too.
If possible, I’d like to avoid that…
As I was thinking about this, someone knocked on the door leading to the bedroom.
“Come in.”
The one who entered was—Main.
During a quest in a cave, we had engaged in combat with a humanoid golem.
We managed to take it down, but its kill reward turned out to be an item for summoning that very same golem.
We named that humanoid golem Main.
She was wearing a maid’s outfit.
It was probably the spare one we had given Loar.
Main was a female-type golem with long blonde hair and a mask, but her skin texture was no different from a human’s.
The only giveaway that she was an artificial construct, if there was one to speak of, was the fact that her joints were shaped like those of a ball-jointed doll.
However, that detail was concealed by her maid outfit, making her indistinguishable from a human at this distance.
Frankly, the suit suited her very well.
She carried a tray with a bowl of congee resting on top, steam rising from it.
“Shion made this for me, didn’t she…?”
In response to my question, Mine gave a small nod.
I had instructed Mine to follow the commands of her comrades.
However, it seems necessary to set priorities regarding command authority.
It appears this is how she is programmed to handle situations where contradictory orders are given by two masters.
The rule is that if the person with first-command authority and the person with second-command authority issue conflicting orders, the order from the first-command authority takes precedence.
By consensus among us all, I was designated to hold the first-command authority.
Loa has been set as the holder of the second-command authority.
I intended for Mine to primarily assist Loa.
“Must’ve been a pain making pasta for everyone, huh…”
Thinking about how she worried over me brought a warm flush to my chest.
Mine carried the tray all the way to the bedside, so I took it from her.
The tray, the bowls, and the spoons were all wooden things I’d made using my [Craft Ability].
Since the [Mine] has been unlocked now, maybe I’ll be able to create metal tableware down the line.
While musing on that, I sprinkled salt from a side plate onto my porridge and scooped up a gentle first spoonful.
The saltiness my body had been craving settled pleasantly on my tongue, and the sensation of the porridge sliding down my throat—neither quite hot nor warm—felt like heat blooming from the very core of my being.
After a while, as I continued spooning up the porridge under Mine’s watchful gaze, someone popped their head into the bedroom.
“So-suke-kun, you okay?”
Looking at me with concerned eyes was a cute, slightly mischievous-looking beauty with black hair featuring pink inner layers tied into two side buns—Yuko Hayahara.
“Momo, what are you doing here?”
“I couldn’t stop worrying about Sousuke-kun, so I just came.”
Momo smiled with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
She was a wielder of the ‘Cloning’ ability.
Even though everyone had tried to give each other some space, she must have popped in using a clone.
I was feeling much better physically, so it wasn’t an issue for me, but I wondered if someone might get mad at her later for it.
“Is it okay if I come in?”
I couldn’t bring myself to refuse, so I nodded with a wry smile.
Sorry it was short!
I’ll make the next chapter longer!
The new serialization has been updated today as well!
